Rear-panel switching allows the Unicorn S6plus to be optimised for different applications, helping it perform at its best whether your priority is clear dialogue, immersive home theatre, or musical stereo listening.

So Much More Than Just a Centre Speaker

The Unicorn S6plus is designed to do far more than traditional centre-channel duty. RC / LC switching allows the speaker to correctly position the bass and mid-bass drivers relative to the tweeter, depending on whether it is used on the left or right in stereo mode, or to the left or right of the centre speaker in a full LCR configuration. The result is a more flexible loudspeaker that is better optimised for each role, helping deliver balanced, engaging performance across a wider range of system setups.

Optimised for Centre or Stereo Use

C / LR switching allows the Unicorn S6plus to select between Richter’s optimal LR and Centre tuning. In Centre mode, output is lifted by around 1–1.5dB from 3kHz to 10kHz for clearer dialogue and stronger on-screen focus.

One of the Most Versatile Speakers on the Market

When used in a 2-channel hi-fi system or as part of a full LCR setup, the Unicorn S6plus uses LC / RC switching to ensure the bass and mid-bass drivers are positioned correctly relative to the tweeter. This helps deliver optimal stereo imaging and balanced performance whether the speaker is used horizontally or vertically.

Refined Series 6plus Performance

The Unicorn S6plus benefits from meaningful design refinements drawn from Richter’s premium Special Edition platform. Improved driver integration, cleaner dynamics and a more refined overall balance help it deliver open, engaging performance across a wide range of system roles.

Premium Tweeter

Borrowed from Richter’s premium Special Edition range, the new tweeter delivers higher sensitivity, a lower resonance frequency and greater power handling. The result is a cleaner, more open and more engaging presentation, with a new level of clarity that feels like lifting a veil from the sound.

Improved Drivers

The new 6½-inch lightweight mid-bass drivers developed for the Series 6plus range deliver worthwhile gains over the previous design, with particular improvement through the critical midband around 1kHz. Non-linear distortion has also been reduced by around 10%, contributing to a smoother, cleaner and more natural presentation. The result is better clarity, improved integration and a more refined listening experience across music, movies and everyday entertainment.
